On Thursday night the Santos Party House in lower Manhattan was the scene for another night of roller racing madness as members of the Garmin team and NYC's local racing scene turned out to benefit the Century Road Club Association's junior development program. Sporting their best argyle, ascots, and plaid, Jonathan Vaughters, David Millar, Tyler Farrar and Timothy Duggan mingled with an appreciative crowd as riders spun their wheels on stage. The "Plaid Men" event was organized by NYVelocity.
Team OUCH was also represented by pro Bobby Lea, top roller last year in New York. This year the top honors would go to Pennsylvania's maestro of the fast-twitch muscle - and masters national sprint champion - Matt Diefenbach.
And then there was Chicken Man... Road Bike Action wouldn't miss this stuff for the world.
