Garmin-Chipotle To Tour De Langkawi
The 2009 Tour de Langkawi will feature twenty teams and run from February 9th through the 15th. The race will start in Putrajaya, and finish in the country's capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

Teams from five continents will compete in Asia's largest stage race. Along with the Garmin-Chipotle, AG2R, Bouygues Telecom, Fuji-Servetto, and Diquigiovanni teams, national teams from Malaysia, China, Iran, and Kazakhstan will also compete.

"The selection of the teams has been the hardest ever," said Chief Operating Officer Datuk Naim Mohamad. "We have received almost fifty bids from different teams from all over the world. With a more competitive field, we expect an even more exciting race. Two years ago we were the first organizers to invite Slipstream because we thought they had a fantastic future, and we are delighted to see them coming back as Garmin-Chipotle.

Garmin-Chipotle, Ag2r, Bouygues Telecom, Fuji-Servetto, Diquigiovanni, CSF, Vorarlberg-Corratec, ISD, Cervélo, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, MCF, LeTua, Meitan-GDR, Seoul Cycling, Doha Team.

Giro Di Sardegna To Return

The Giro di Sardegna will return to the race calendar in 2009. The race will make its return after a 12-year absence. The stage race will take place on the Italian island of Sardinia from February 24th through the 28th.

The Giro di Sardegna could attract top riders due the island’s good weather and the possible cancellation of the Vuelta a Valenciana. At one time the race occupied a key spot in the early season calendar. The race ran from 1958 to 1983.
