DAY ONE IN FUERTEVENTURA
January 11, 2010

Day one at the Saxo Bank Team camp was filled with witnessing Andy and Frank Schleck get a Specialized BG fit for both their road and TT bikes, an epic ride in the volcanic paradise of Fuerteventura island and an impending press conference which will stream live at www.roadbikeaction.com at 1pm pst.

We were at both fits, had a chance to listen to the riders and learn more about the changes they have made to their positions and why. More on that tomorrow. For now, here are some images from todays' 3:30 hour ride in the sun and wind of Fuerteventura, Spain.

Fuerteventura is a desert island for sure. Saxo Bank comes here for the sun and riding.

Ben Capron from Specialized heads up a climb.

At this point in the ride, I'm still smiling. Three hours later, I had a different look on my face.

Not just Saxo Bank. The island is filled with European cyclists who are looking for some great training weather in the winter.
