The most decorated cyclist from Great Britain, Chris Hoy, is a Terry Dolan fan-in fact his logo-less bike in Beijing was partly designed by Dolan, Boardman and others. The Cervelo booth was buzzing with news about the all new P4, which features a completely hidden rear brake and a 500 ml hydration system integrated into the frame. Not thirsty? If you don't want to use the aero-bottle area, it's transformed into an aero "bento-box" and can hold spare tubes, tires, cartridges or the Shimano Di2 battery system. Quintana Roo debuted the Cd0.1 at Interbike. The new go-fast machine from QR incorporates FIST geometry, a multi-angle seat positioning system, a downtube that is slightly offset from the head tube which is supposed to guide the wind from the head tube and front wheel to divert it to the non-drive side ("clean side") and move it towards the rear wheel.  Scott USA had Norman Stadler's Plasma on display. In just under three weeks, Stadler will ride this thing 112 miles in the Kona heat seeking Ironman's World Championship honors. Then, he'll hop off and run a marathon.  The SE Bikes Blue Dragon is a $1,150, classic, urban singlespeed. There's no doubt in cities across America, the single-speed movement is taking hold and it makes complete sense that BMX companies would get involved and possibly take the lead in the revolution-The BMX world is closer to the lives of urban youth than most road bike companies. |
