FEATURE BIKE: QUINTANA ROO KILO
June 6, 2008

When you think of the name Quintana Roo, images of Kona and the bike transition areas of triathlons around the world come to mind. Quintana Roo has always been at the forefront of triathlon bike technology and, in fact, basically invented triathlon geometry. The Kilo is designed and priced to get more people to the starting line of multi-sport events. The aerodynamic Kilo features a custom-butted AN-6 aero tubeset, and incorporates QR’s F.I.S.T (Fit Institute Slow Twitch) positioning data gathered from thousands of fitting tests. The Kilo is designed for all levels of triathletes but at a price that is attractive for newcomers to the sport. The Kilo features a Shimano Dura-Ace rear derailleur and shifters, a Shimano Ultegra front derailleur, FSA Gossamer cranks, Tektro brakes with Dia Compe levers, and Vision Alloy Clip-on bars.
Price: $1899
