The Egro 2 is Sidi’s top of the line road shoe. It is designed for professional racers and high-mileage riders. The new Red Vernice Ergo 2 features Sidi’s full carbon sole that is designed to balance power transfer and foot comfort. The thin sole design also brings the foot closer to the pedal axis. The Egro 2s feature a heel tensioning system (HSS) that prevents heel lift. The HSS reinforces the top of the heel cup and improves fit by closing the back of the shoe around the rider’s ankle. The HSS can be adjusted by up to 6-millimeter on each side with the turn of a screw. For walking, the full carbon sole includes an anti-slip insert at the toe and a replaceable rubber heel pad.
The uppers on the Ergo 2s are constructed of durable Lorica microfiber. To keep the rider’s feet cool, the Ergo 2s have mesh inserts on top of the toe box, along the sides and integrated into the heel cup. Sidi’s Techno II buckle system and ratcheting closure system allow for easy on-the-bike adjustment while the padded tongue helps eliminate pressure points.
