NEW PRODUCTS: THULE 990 DOUBLETRACK

The Thule 990 DoubleTrack is a platform style hitch mounted rack that sits low to the ground to allow for bicycles to be easily loaded and unloaded. The Double Track is compatible with all bike styles regardless of frame size and fits both 1.25-inch and 2-inch receiver hitches without having to use adapters. The DoubleTrack uses Thule’s RQL Quick ratcheting system to hold the bike in place during transport. Wheel straps add extra level security. The 990 DoubleTrack folds down for easy rear-of-vehicle access and folds up when not in use. The 990 DoubleTrack carries up to two bicycles.


RBA SAYS:
The best feature of the DoubleTrack is that you don’t have to remove the front wheel when mounting a bicycle. This allows quick racking of the bicycle and eliminates having to find a place to pack the front wheel. The Thule 990 DoubleTrack was easy to mount and folds down even with bikes mounted to allow one to open the rear hatch or tailgate on the vehicle. The RQL quick ratcheting system worked well and never left a mark on a frame. The base is stable, and showed no indication of flex. We appreciate that the rack sits low and makes mounting the bike easy.
