When Zipp designed the 303s to withstand the rigors of the spring classics they also designed them to meet the demands of cyclocross racers. By increasing the spoke count to 24 front and back, the 1209-gram 303 cyclocross wheelset is made to excel on hilly or technical courses where low weight is the key to climbing and accelerating out of corners. The 25.4-millimeter tire bed makes mounting 32-millimeters cyclocross tires easy, while the 3-millimeter rim radius provides added protection against pinch flats at low pressures.
