TECH NEWS: S-WORKS SL CRANKSET
May 31, 2010

Like the standard S-Works Crankset the SL is constructed using Specialized’s hollow FACT SL carbon crankarms. What’s different is the addition of a FACT carbon fiber spider and lighter aluminum chainrings that drop the weight to only 597-grams. The crankarms, which are available in 170, 172.5, and 175-millimeter lengths, are connected via an oversized alloy spindle and Hirth coupling interface. The spindle spins on 42-millimeter ceramic bearings and is designed to be BB30 compatible. The new carbon spider and lightweight chainrings are available separately in both compact and standard versions.
