TECH NEWS: GIRO IONOS
May 10, 2010

The Ionos is constructed using Giro’s In-mold technology that fuses the liner with the microshell to create an exo-skeleton that's light, safe and durable. Giro then combines the exo-skeleton with a subframe that is reinforced around the ribs and vents for added structural support, and impact dispersion. To keep the helmet in place Giro uses their Roc Loc 4® fit system, while cooling is handled by 21 vents and a system of ventilation channels throughout the inside of the helmet. These channels, along with exhaust ports, move fresh air over and around the head while forcing heat and stale air out.
