TECH NEWS: CHROME LAUNCHES RED SOLE SHOE LINE
August 21, 2009

Chrome has been making high end, quality messenger bags and riding clothing since 1994. Now they have turned their attention to shoes, designing a line for commuters and urban riders. The new Red Sole line comes in four styles, Saipan, Arnhem, Midway and Kursk. All four models are constructed out of 1000 denier Cordura and are designed to make riding with platform pedals easier. The sole on the The Red Sole line features a Texon board in the forefoot to prevent pedal poke, a glass filled nylon shank in the mid sole to increase pedal stroke leverage, and a 55A durometer outsole for better pedal grip. For durability the Red Sole line features a gusseted tongue to help keep out water, a reflective strip on the heel and binding tape on all exposed edges. Chrome finishes off the Red Sole line with a crash pad for heel protection. Along with technical features, the Red Sole line is designed to fit like cycling specific shoes with a deep heel cup and arch support.
