TECH NEWS: LIGHTING SL CARBON CRANKS
May 29, 2009

The Lightning SL carbon crank is now available for threaded bottom brackets. The crank features carbon arms with an aluminum spider. The crankarms are joined together via a Hirst Joint, similar to that found on Campagnolo cranks. The Lighting SL Carbon cranks weigh 445-grams for a 172.5-millimeter set with bottom bracket – which can also be upgrades to ceramic bearings. The Lighting SL Carbon cranks have a weight limit of 220-pounds, so Clydesdale models are also available for riders up to 280-pounds. The Lighting SL carbons are available in compact or standard versions with lengths ranging from 160 to 190-millimeters
