With a strong 4th place in Saturday's Stage 5 14.5km ITT in Kerteminde, 23 year old Danish mountain biker Jakob Fuglsang of Team Designa Køkken scored a surprise win in the 18th Post Danmark Rundt-Tour of Denmark and a two year pro contract for 2009-2010 with CSC-Saxo Bank to boot.

Fuglsang was U23 World MTB Champion in 2007 and in 2008, was 3rd at the European Championships in Sankt Wendel, Germany, while on the road Fuglsang was 3rd in the GP William Tell in Switzerland. His pro mountain bike team is Cannondale-Vredestein and Fuglsang will ride for Denmark at the Olympic MTB cross country race in Beijing on August 23rd, with a goal of a top 5 finish.
