André Greipel won the 25th TD Bank Philadelphia International Championship, easily taking the bunch sprint ahead of his teammate Greg Henderson with Bissell’s Kirk O'Bee finishing third. The Columbia-Highroad team came to Philly loaded with heavy hitters including Edvald Boasson Hagen, Greg Henderson, Marco Pinotti and of course André Greipel.
The day was marked by a three man breakaway that lasted for 70-miles. The last survivor of the break Daniel Oss (Liquigas) was reeled in just 6-miles from the finish by the Columbia-Highroad led peloton. As Columbia-Highroad drove the peloton, several other teams tried to get their sprinter to the front but none were able to break Columbia-Highroad’s strangle hold on the front of the race.
In the final kilometer it was Edvald Boasson Hagen, that led the charge, dropping Henderson off 500-meters from the line. Henderson then took over, giving Greipel a perfect lead out. So fast was Henderson’s lead out that he still managed to finish second in front of a hard charging O'Bee. For O’Bee this was his second third place in two years.

Teutenberg was one of 12 riders who broke free on the last lap. Teutenberg was not alone in the break as Columbia-Highroad had four riders in the break. Once the break was clear, Columbia riders Kim Anderson, Mara Abbott and Judith Arndt drove the pace while Teutenberg calmly waited for the sprint. At the line Teutenberg repaid her teammates by easily taking the victory
Teutenberg won the Liberty Classic in 2005 and 2007. Her Columbia-Highroad teammate Chantal Beltman, won last year but did not compete in this year’s edition.
