Australian sprinter Graeme Brown (Rabobank) closed the 29th Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia as he opened it with a stage win over Kiwi speedster Greg "Hendy" Henderson (Columbia), Brownie's Rabobank teammate Denis Menchov kept the overall lead in Murcia to complete the Rabobankers dominance of early season stage races after Joost Posthuma took the Vuelta a Andalucía-Ruta Ciclista del Sol three weeks ago thanks to the strong support riding of Menchov. Sunday's stage was marked by a long break by Stefano Garzelli (Acqua & Sapone) and Konstantin Siutsou (Columbia), who took the win in the best climber competition thanks to his wins on the Alto de Portman & Alto Cabezo de la Plata KOM's today.
