35 year old Alessandro Petacchi showed he can still bring it today, as he won his fifth straight GP Costa degli Etruschi, the Italian season opener. Petacchi beat fast neo-pro Jacopo Guarnieri (Liquigas) to bring LPR-Farnese Vini their first win of the year. “Well I might be 35, but today, my winning sprint shows that I can bring it,” Petacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport after his victory. Barloworld's Robbie Hunter took third, after his team had 22 team bikes stolen earlier this week.
